At Helensville Auto Electrical we have expertise working on cars, boats, trucks, trailers, caravans, and diggers.  Our  workshop is handily located for the rural farming equipment repairs.  If your machinery will not or cannot be moved then the Mobile Service with 2 fully equipped vans is the way to go.  Our objective is to keep customer down time to a minimum.

We are able to repair and service leased vehicles as we agents for most lease companies including Cardlink Fleetsmart, Custom Fleet, Leaseplan and
Esanda.

Batteries
We are proud to be part of the Battery Town programme, which offers fantastic products, free battery testing and 24 month warranties. As trained auto electricians, we can quickly and correctly diagnose your battery fault or install your car battery.


Starters
Your starter motor turns your engine over and gets it going. If it breaks down you may be going nowhere! We can diagnose, repair and/or replace faulty starter motors, and our breakdown service means we can come to you if you can’t come to us.


Alternators
Your alternator produces the electricity your car needs to run and keeps the battery charged. If it is not working properly, you can quickly find yourself with a flat battery. We can very easily test your alternator to assess whether it is causing your problem, and repair and/or replace it if necessary.  And if you do find yourself with a flat battery, our mobile breakdown service can get you up and running again.


Fuel injection
If you are having trouble starting your engine, or it is cutting out or idling noisily, you could have dirty fuel injectors. Clean fuel injectors also result in lower fuel consumption, and we recommend you get them cleaned at around every 60,000km. We can clean your injectors, test them for leaks and improve flow.


Computers
Most cars these days have a lot of computer equipment keeping things running behind the scenes. We will diagnose any problems and aim to repair the fault; if that is not possible, we are able to replace computer and electronic components.


Tune ups
Regular tune ups are probably the best thing you can do for your car – and your wallet! Our tune-up service can make your car more fuel-efficient, ensure it is starting and running properly, and identify early-stage problems before they become serious and expensive to fix.


Navigation systems
Navigation systems take the hassle out of finding your way around. We diagnose, repair and install GPS navigation systems. We have a great retail relationship with TomTom and have a range of their products available.


Wiring
A small wiring fault can cause big problems! We can diagnose and repair problems caused by wiring and are also able to completely rewire your vehicle if needed.


Lighting
A blown or broken light can make your vehicle or a towed trailer or caravan dangerous and difficult to spot at night. We can quickly replace and repair lights on cars, trailers, boats, caravans and trucks.

LED lighting has become a popular option for retro fitting on trucks, boat and others trailers. Our chosen retailer Hella offers a huge range of quality options from side warning lamps to water proof lights for boats and boat trailers.

We are also able to upgrade headlights, and Hella has plenty of products to help make your car safer at night and in winter conditions.

 
Wipers
Worn or broken wipers can fail to keep your windscreen clear of rain and dirt, making it difficult for you to see clearly and drive safely. They can also create a frustrating noise! We can quickly replace or repair wipers at a very reasonable cost.

 
Car alarms
Car alarms are an essential means of protecting your car. We can diagnose and repair alarms, and we install new alarm systems. We can supply and code replacement remotes if yours is lost or broken. We have a great retail relationship with Mongoose. They offer an excellent back-up service and a no-hassle warranty, and they are a trusted name in the market.

Car stereos
Whether you need your stereo repaired or you are looking for a brand new system, we can help! We have access to a fantastic range of car stereos from the simple to those with all the bells and whistles.


Car phones
Answering your mobile while driving can be extremely dangerous, and it is illegal. With a car phone kit you can answer your phone without taking your hands off the wheel, reducing the distraction and keeping you and your passengers safer. We are able to supply and fit Bluetooth phone kits for hands-free operation of your mobile.


Electric windows
There’s not much that’s more annoying than not being able to open (or
close!) your car windows or sunroof. We can diagnose and repair or replace your faulty electric windows switches and regulars to ensure they run smoothly.


Central locking
Central locking with a remote control on your key chain is a convenient way to lock your car and to avoid locking the keys inside! We can fit central locking to your vehicle and convert key-only systems to remote control.


Reversing cameras
Reversing cameras are an important way of being able to see clearly what is behind you – they give you a more comprehensive picture than just using your mirrors. Particularly with larger vehicles, such as SUVs, blind spots can place small children in danger. We can install reversing cameras on your vehicle to make it safer.


Air conditioning

Check Engine
The “check engine” or “service engine soon” light comes on to alert you that your vehicle’s onboard computer has detected a problem with the emissions system on your vehicle. This could indicate something simple like a loose gas cap or a more serious issue such as a misfiring engine. It may also be a sign that your car is getting poor fuel economy and emitting higher levels of pollutants.
